This fall, the Enchanted Forest staff sent a kid size back pack home with each child for a visit. It was a wonderful way to connect with each child and family. The backpack contained many items for children to share with their families:
1) An Olivia stuffed animal for children to interact with, cuddle with, and show her around
2) 5 books for families to read together – 3 Ready to Read books, and 2 hard cover books
3) A duo tang for children or parents to fill out. Besides name, age and who is in their family, children wrote about what they liked to do on a rainy day (play in puddles, watch movies, and read) and what they liked to do on a sunny day (go to the beach and eat ice-cream!) There was also a section for children to add a photo of themselves with Olivia and show off their creative abilities by colouring a picture of Olivia playing a host of musical instruments.

After Olivia spent a couple of days in a child’s home, everything was stuffed back into the back pack and brought back to K.I.D.S. Inc. During gathering time, the children enjoyed hearing about what adventures Olivia had with each child.

Thank you to all families for babysitting Olivia for a couple of nights, and sharing your home with her!
