K.I.D.S. Inc. will be collecting items and money to help the Winnipeg Humane Society from December 1-17, 2007. The school age children have fundraised for this organization before and would like to ensure the pets have a happy holiday in their new shelter, which is now a part of our community! The following is a list of items we will collect and deliver to the shelter after Dec. 17th. The items do not need to be brand new, but still useable.
- 6-foot leashes (1” Nylon is best, NO CHAIN LEASHES, please)
- Bird, fish, turtle and reptile food
- Blankets and Towels
- Bandana’s (brightly coloured, for the dogs)
- Canned Dog & Cat Food
- Dog shampoo, un-medicated
- Kongs, mostly large size, for special treats with dogs
- Chew toys such as medium to large Kong toys of all varieties, squeaky toys, rope toys, Nylabones, large rawhides (no minis, please) etc.
- Large dog houses (new or used)
- Litter boxes (small and medium)
- Non-clumping cat litter
- Pet dishes
- Raw-Hide (pressed, no knotted, please)
- Small animal toys and treats (rabbits, gerbils, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats)
- Soft dog treats
- Toys for cats
- Teething rings for puppies and dogs
- Vari-kennels (Medium or large sized plastic)
- Canadian Tire Money
- Cash
We will have labelled boxes inside the preschool room to collect the items, for cash donations, please give directly to Sharon (in an envelope labelled Humane Society project).If you have any questions regarding this project, please see Sharon
